You will always get bumps if you shave just because the skin down there is so sensitive... Your best bet (as painful as it is) is to go and get a professional bikini wax. Yes, it's expensive and it hurts, but it lasts a long time and there are no bumps.

If you aren't into the whole paying to have someone else be all down in that area (lol), I would suggest some nair or nads or something like that. You won't have any bumps, but keep in mind that the hair will grow back quicker than it would if you were to get a professional wax.

The bumps will probably always happen, because the area is a tender spot to shave. I found over years of shaving that it still gets bumps, but it gets less bumps now then like a year or two ago.

Shave with products made for the pubic region. Using regular commercial shaving cream can cause problems. Make sure your razor is very sharp and exfoliate your skin after taking a bath and then shave.

Use nair, but not on the inside, only the outter (the top part, and outter lips) then you can shave the inner lips if there is hair there, most likely shaving there will not create bumps. Nair will get you a nice smooth finish in half the time.

I use a beard trimmer without the extension thingies. Looks shaved, but doesn't take off the hair much below the skin line. No 'bumps'.

Moisten with a damp warm washcloth for at least 10 minutes.

Apply baby oil.

Use a good razor. Shave as much as possible in the same direction as the hair grows.

Clean with warm water and apply more baby oil.

Don't ask me how I know. :o|
