People turn back to God when they get seriously sick, when they undergo tragic events, such as deaths in the family, devastating accidents, extreme poverty, earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, wars, famines and pestilence, etc.
A lot of people are by nature proud and arrogant that they take God for granted because He is invisible and seems uncaring.
If He is uncaring why does the world keep on spinning? Why does time keep on going?
Why do our hearts continuously beat and we can't control it or dictate to it and make it behave to what we exactly want when it is already ailing. Unless we are humbled or experience hardships beyond our control, so many of us ignore God, especially those with money who think they can buy their way to the other side without the beneffit of God's judgment.
Our love for our fellowmen, prayers and spiritual works can help turn our Nation back to God.

Your constant obsessive , shallow bashing of all people who do not believe as you do is getting to be a waste of every bodys' time here on R&S . If you can think of a real question feel free to post it . Otherwise shut up and worry about how you live your life .
If you can't believe in equal rights I'm sure the Taliban in Afganistan has a "place" for you !

As a Bible believer and strong advocate of my Christian faith I do not believe God backs up any nation or country or installs leaders in our times. He works through individuals who have a choice whether to embrace him or not. Equal rights includes freedom of religion, of speech and of the press which has benefited both sides. It is not about forcing ones lifestyle or choices on another but about allowing each person to decide for themselves.
If the government were to allow open prayer in public school or propose the teaching of evolution as a fact, that is when a parent has the right to withdraw their minor child from these classes if they feel strongly about their belief or non belief. Religion is a personal choice and what is unique about this nation is that it does not impose on what one decides to opt for. As long at it is not physically causing harm or threat to others they do not intervene. Ones beliefs should be kept on the home-front and shared with others who are of like mind and to those who are willing to show an interest.
On this site we all have a say on how we believe or not, where disagreement is often voiced, but it does get rather imposing at times where both sides often use outright insults ( I couldn't refrain from voicing this opinion) and I have probably stepped on a few toes myself at one time or another.

Lies of Satan such as equal rights? OMG! Better to believe the Word of God and deny equal rights to people we don't like or agree with, just like Jesus did, right?
Maybe not a bad deal for you, as long as you're in the privileged group that gets to deny rights to others. Not so good when you become the one who is denied equal rights.
And if you deny equal rights to other, one day you will be the one on the wrong side of that hatred and bigotry. Good luck when that happens to you. Maybe God will help you then. You'll need it.

You mean "coercion" trying to make people believe what you believe at the point of a gun. See if the strength of your conviction will do the trick.
If it weren't for equal rights you would be illiterate, denied an education and not be allowed to speak your "mind" let alone own any private property like your computer or have the freedom to choose the kind of life you wanted to live.

History will show mankind has used the ides of "God" for personal gains. Few, if any religions ask mankind to believe in spritual truths as opposed to asking mankind to believe in the "God" of the Religions choice. Religions Define "God" and this is the largest universal untruth. "God" is something expreienced at the Individual level, it's personal. Your statement to the effect "We" must get back to "God" and the "We are Sinners" is a deep root asumption you wish to share as a truth, yet it holds no truth at all. The "God" of Western, and some Eastern Religions is a God needing attention-placation and worshipping; this is spritual nonsense and is not the true nature of creation, or "God" as you might say. I would repent for missdeeds against others as a matter of truth. I personaly would not ask for "forgiveness" as the implications are not suited to truth. Who would forgive me? " God" ? If that were the case the implication would be I was awaiting judgment or was observed by one judging me. An untruth. "God" is not a character as mankind demands "he" be. Religions have long placed characterization upon the shoulders of a God they alone dremt was "manlike". Assigning such characterizations upon "God" made it easier to Understand something and that understanding has yet not materialized as man still places the God idea as one to worship, blame and pray to. Spritual speaking Truth is our only Hope. As truth is God in all respects Truth is the UnChristinizing of the religion bearing truth alone absent the hoops to jump through. Religious Death on earth will bring absolute truths to mankind. Winston Churchill did nothing to win ww2. My guess is that U.S. production, Yankee balls and British nuts defeated the German war machine. Mankind started the war, mankind ended the war with a little help from Robert Oppenhiemer and Albert Einstein. When mankind starts taking responsibility and stop placing issues on "God" we will see more truth. Honour and respect yourself and others see the true God.

Let us not be deceived. What we see in the material world are the effects of what each one of us are inside. The principles of evil practiced in society are only reflections of the kind of mind and heart and soul we have inside us. Therefore, you start wrong when you point fingers at anybody. You'll only make matters worse.
Every organ in the body has its connection to the heart and mind. If you want to reach out to any problem to fix it, just allow God to enter into your mind and heart and be that depot from which spirituality and Godliness will flow to all them. What I mean is, start with yourself by changing you lifestyle into something that is filled and inspired only by Him. And then they will see how it is to be lived and will try to live a Godly life, too.

What do you mean by equal rights? Everyone has the same rights, whether they are recognized officially or not. It doesn't mean their lifestyle is acceptable to God, if that's what you mean. You can't turn an entire nation back to God. Especially when most of it wasn't with God in the first place.
Absolutely I believe the Bible, that's why I'm on this site...

From the Declaration of Independence: "That all men are created equal"
From the Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11 (as ratified by congress, and signed by both George Washington and John Adams):
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"
I'm not quite sure, exactly, which direction you intend to take your hate rant; but since the opening question has been proven wrong, the rest is irrelevant.
