I haven't had any problems with my ps2 so far.. But now it''s not playing regular music CDs. It gets all twitchy and I can't select anything. my ps2 has been ripped off the wall a few times and the power button is sticky but.. it still should work..?
I've tried cleaning the lens and the system already.

Mine does that too sometimes. I've learned that when you put in a disc and start it up, hold down lightly over the top of the cover. Not so hard that the disc won't spin, but just enough to put some pressure on it. Don't know why it works, but that usually fixes mine.

For how long do you have it? If you own PS2 for a long time (you've cleaned the lens already) - may be the lens is just dying. Don't worry, it's not really expensive to replace it.
