i bought a harness for my car which is a lancer. all is well but the amp shuts off when its set to cd and only kicks on when set to tuner

there are 2 remote wires
ELECTRIC ANTENNA and
REMOTE TURN ON for amplifier

most of the times they are blue and blue with a white stripe
switch the cables and it will work
good luck

Sounds like the remote wire from your deck is designed for a power antenna. Your deck may not be designed for an amp. You would need to check the manual, or contact the manufacture and see what they would say.

If your remote wire is connected to a blue wire at the deck, switch it to the blue/white wire instead.

First, turn on the CD player and make sure that the amp light is on. If it isn't, then move your remote wire to a fuse, such as the cigarette lighter fuse.

you have the amp connected to the antenna wire (blue& white)

check your owners manual,hook up your RCA pin jacks?programing the deck?make sure all ground wires are tight?it can be tough to tell with out being there,sorry i cant be of more help,good luck
