My relationship with this friend is extremely good... we are BEST friends!
In the dream I feel extremely nervous, because my friend is in alot of pain and she is screaming and yelling!!
Is it significant that this friend is trying to concieve for real?
I am not confused about the sexuality of my friend, or me... lol just thought i would add that part in.
also, everytime i have this dream something changes. Whether it be what we are wearing, or how our hair is done even what we were doing before labor but something small always changes, like the birth happens more than one time.

Hi Ubergeek,

Let's see what you've got there......

I had this dream that my friend gave birth on my couch...

((the "couch" is symbolic of the place where we welcome others into our home for comfort......... As such, the dream opens by commenting on being available to a friend..... The birth is something new to her... Something one is expecting........))

I dont know what the hecks going on, but I am actually delivering this baby and it is on my couch...

((Whoever said you were helping your friend, is correct..... here, you are assisting your friend with whatever this "new" thing may be..... something she was expecting.... something that wasn't before.........))

in my living room...

((Talks about the way you are living.....It's an internal issue...))

just me and her. I always wake up before I get to see the baby's gender...

((Seems too, that you are also expecting something of your friend..... waiting to see how this turns out.... but, it is not given you to know.....))

*****may I also add, that it is possible that the symbolic "friend" is also yourself........

I noticed two things in your telling...
One the fact that it is on your couch seems significant. The other, that you can't tell the gender of the baby?
The couch part seems like it means, that something is a little too close to you or an invasion into your personal space, maybe just an imposition.
You aren't by chance having questions in your mind about the sexual orientation of your friend are you?
Maybe the rebirth isn't your rebirth or change, but your friend's and you have been noticing this about them somewhere in the back of your mind. Your repeating the dream because your subconcsious is trying to bring this to a conscious level?

It's 4 am here and I am having a moment of insomnia myself, so please just consider this just a sleepy W.A.G.:) I have had repeat dreams before and they bug me to no ends until I figure them out myself.
Good Luck with this:)

I wonder how you feel about your relationship with this friend. Are there ways you feel she may be asking too much of you or giving you too much responsibility for issues in her life? If you can identify the emotions you feel during the birth in your dream it may be able to help you get a sense of what it might represent for you. Do you feel joy, excitement, anticipation? This might suggest you are happy about helping your friend bring about a positive change in her life. But if in the dream you feel stuck and overwhelmed and are asking, "why me?!" that indicates you may be uncomfortable about things in your friend's life she may expect your help with. You will need to discern in your waking hours if any of this is relevant to you.

You're feeling there's somethng you need to help yur friend with.

Dreams are very personal. Learn to understand the symbols as they come to you.
As you review the dream ask it (or yourself) what it is trying to tell you. Write it all down. Read it over. it will make sense.

it simply means that you need to sit with your friend ... and help her start something new ... or you need to open up with your friend and tell her all what you burden ... and she will help get over all your worries and problems ....

don't worry there is nothing serious or to worry about in this ... its a good dream : ) you should be happy about it :)
