Broome Pearls, Perth Mint gold jewellery or coins, Jarrah wood pieces, Margaret River Wines, Wildflower seeds, Iron Ore jewellery, Argyle Diamonds, are my recommendations.

You could always throw in a touristy stubby holder, t-shirt, hat, or teaspoon...but I'd go for something a little nicer and MUCH more memorable.

Hope this is of some help.
Cheers :)

Affordable and exclusive are contradictions in terms. If it is affordable, many people will have it.

Your best bet is to ask him to get you a Reg Mombasa Gazelle / Mambo T-Shirt or something like that. These are cheapish but the designs are not available outside Australia.

A bit more expensive -Paspaley pearls or gold coins from Perth Mint.

I would tell him how much you'd just like something simple that's local and let him pick something. often times you won't know what catches the eye till you're there.

my brother's brought back many great souvineers, one from itally that says made in greece on the back (that looked SO ittalian), but mostly simple things that were interesting. it doesn't always matter that it's exclusively perth, but something you can't find anywhere else you've been that you know is a memoribelia from there. it's truely hard to find things that are exclusively from one place, I just try to get things that are ethnic, or things i like.

I was there about 7 years ago, and they do some really nice wood products, we bought a Blackboy wood bowl. It is dark brown and extremely light.
