I mean, how come you pray to them, instead of God, and ask them for things, when God is your one and only creator, who created them as well?

It is disrespect and a dishonor to God for anyone to pray to another human being dead or alive. Mary and all the other saints in heaven are not to be prayed to. God is to be worshiped through the Lord Jesus Christ only by the power of the Holy Spirit only. The Holy Spirit is the intercessor for the saints and Jesus is the mediator between God the Father and man. Jesus is the advocate for the saints. The saints in heaven were born in sin just like everybody else and they needed a savior like everybody else and that includes Mary who by the way is no longer a virgin. She gave birth to Jesus and also had 4 more sons and at least 2 girls.

A quick search would have shown you that this question is asked about 20 times a day, but since you don't do your research, lets go over it - for the 5 millionth time.

As a Catholic, I worship God in the name of the Father, + the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I don't worship any saint or the Holy Virgin Mary. God and God alone.

I do, however, ask for the intersession of the Saints in Heaven and the Virgin Mary. I ask them to join in my prayers and petitions to God. Why? Because I know that the prayers of the Saints (those who stand in the very presence of God) will pray with me, and for me, to God. How do I know this? Because the Bible makes several references to this, and since the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, it is the truth.

"Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!" (Ps. 148:1-2)

Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In Revelation, John sees that "the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:8). Thus the saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

Angels do the same thing: "[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God" (Rev. 8:3-4).

Because he is the only God-man, Jesus is the only Mediator between man and God (1 Tim. 2:5), but this in no way means we cannot or should not ask our fellow Christians to pray with us and for us (1 Tim. 2:1-4), including those Christians in heaven, who have already had their sanctification completed, for "[t]he prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects" (Jas. 5:16).

That a good question to ask.

My sister is a Catholic and she keep crosses around the house and sometime in the car, I don't actually know if she worship the virgin Mary, but to me Catholic don't have a personal relationship with God. Not saying that i have a personal one, but I've notice that Catholics and Christians do thing differently when it come to religion.

I'm not judging.

We do not worship other saints and the Virgin Mary. We worship God through them.

I am not catholic, but to my knowledge, they don't worship Mary and the saints.....they are just venerated, there is a difference, you know.

Why the mad-on for Catholics? What did they do to you?

We venerate Mary and the saints. There's a difference between veneration and worship. Mary and the saints are very important to us, but they are not equal with the Trinity.

Perhaps it's because Catholics know what true and authentic worship is ... compared to other forms of love, respect, reverence, and communication ... and non-Catholics either don't ... or won't.

The last time you called to talk to your mom on the phone, were you worshiping her?

When you posted this question were you worshiping Yahoo?

Your question is pretty lame.

The same reason you worship three gods in the form of the Father, the son, and the Sophia Ruach the Holy Spirit

Catholics worship NO-ONE but GOD. We honor other people, both living and dead, but we don't worship them. That would be idolatry, and the Catholic Church absolutely condemns idolatry in every form - which you could discover for yourself by looking it up in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
