Around the end of January 2006 my ex boyfriend's mother tricked me in to breaking up with him because he was to much of a coward to break up with face to face. A few days earlier he had started avoiding me because he didn't want to take responsibiltiy for getting me pregnant the month before. Two weeks after we broke up he started talking to another girl & 2 weeks after that they got together. He didn't tell her I was pregnant till 2 weeks after they got together & after he told her she actually stayed with him!!! Up untill the middle of the second trimester he didn't do anything to help me during the pregnancy because he chose to run around with new gorl instead. When he finally did come around to be there for me and our unborn child it was only to impress his girlfriend & her family & all her friends. It didn't stop there after I had the baby he would stand my daughter up on days he was suppose to come see & he hasn't paid any child support. Could that be held against him in court?

Yes, he's an asshole. But he's not your man anymore. He's free to date other people.
The child support thing, you should talk to a lawyer about that.

You would think men would get more mature and responsible as they get older, but no, that's not the case. I have a wonderful 7 year old from a "mistake" with a man I was dating years ago. At first he was cautious, but supportive. Then he denied responsibility and literally ran in the other direction. A few months later he was married to another woman!

I immediately took him to court after our daughter was born. He has repeatedly refused to show up to court hearings and has been in contempt of court numerous times. As of now, he owes well over $50,000, and he's on the run because there is a warrant out for his arrest.

Funny, he seemed like an upstanding good guy before: 40 years old, great job, home, vehicle, etc., but people are rarely what they seem.

Anyway, take that jerk to court and get the court to deal with him from now on. You don't need him in your, or your child's, life. If he doesn't want his visitation rights, your daughter is probably better off. You can do better! Be strong, we have to teach our daughter's that we can do without these worthless men, and hopefully you'll one day have a good man to give her the right impression of how a man should be.

Alright I am absolutely blown away by some of these people anwsers!!! Do you honestly belive that it was okay for this poor woman's ex to get another girlfriend while she was pregnant?!?!? I don't care if person is no longer with the woman they got pregnant, you don't abandon your the person you got pregnant to go f@%* another woman & it's clear that some of you read this & didn't realize that her ex had abandoned her for months to be with the other girl. This is the same crap Eddie Murphy did to Mel B.

And any woman that gets with or stays with a guy that got another woman pregnant right before he got with her & knew that she was pregnant is a pretty sick & desperate person. That guy was selfish for not telling her before they got together & she was selfish for staying with him. As a matter of fact it's women like this guy's new girlfriend that make it hard for all us real women in the world!!!! I can't stand women like her.

Honey If I were you I would hire a Good attorney(like Gloria Allred) & get your daughter as far away from that a$$hole & his little Bi%#* as you can. I mean what kind of coward gets his mom to trick his pregnant girlfriend to break up with him. That dude is not a man, he's a p#@sy!! And all of you out there saying that it was okay & that he could do whatever he wanted, I feel sorry for you all because you obviously don't know any better. I'm ecspecially suprise to see that it's other women saying these things. Come on if some guy got you pregnant & abandned you to be with another b*$#@ I don't think you be saying that he could do what he wanted. Put your self in this woman's shoes. The guy could have at least waited till after the baby was born before he went out and got a new girlfriend.

You know what honey consider yourself blessed because it's better you know now that your ex is no good than to find out later & would have wasted time with him futher down the line. Remember you got the better end of the deal, you got the baby & alll he got was desperate girl that he will probably dump in a year or two for the next pretty face. Keep your head up & don't listen to all the nay sayers because none of this is your fault, your ex is the one who's the idiot & a large majority of the people who answered your question are on your side.

Oh and to answer your question HELL TO THE YEAH he was wrong!!!!!!!!!!

You just got messed up with the wrong man and his wrong mother. Thank God you got out before anything else happened. He's immature and backwards like his mother, but she raised him, so if you love him then you are just going to love her:D You can get him on the child support, you will have to see what the judge says about his absence on days he is suppose to be taking his daughter. Thats not right at all. He sounds like a real gem, pray for his girlfriend, she is going to need those prayers. And you, forgive him...God has something better out there in store for you..let go of the past and move forward.

The ex's mom may had a good laugh breaking you and boyfriend up--and its evident it's no tragic loss either.

But you sure can end her laughter real fast.

DNA--Does Not Assume!! Have your attorney serve subponea papers court ordering ex-beau to submit to paternity test. If DNA matches--the ex better brace up for 18 long years of child support payments.

Daddy doesn't care at all to visit your child--but he'll get dam interested real fast when he sees those court papers. As long as he pays, he'll have visit rights--and you can bet he'll want 'em. Petition for SUPERVISED visits from Dad.

He skips payments--his drivers license can be flagged and/or his wages garnished--I'd see into that, too.

He'll still get visitation and all if you take him to court for child support, so make sure that you really want him and his girlfriend and thier friends around your child.
Him haveing a girlfriend won't be held against him. But honestly that just shows you what type of girl she is. I have dated guys with kids, but if I was dating a guy and I found out that he left his grilfriend pregnant and was being a compelte *** to her I wouldn't stay with him.

Sounds like he's LAME! It was wrong for him to leave you but maybe it wasn't what he wanted in the first place...he probably gave you the title just to continue to have sex with you...and he got caught up when you got pregnant...Find a real MAN and stop playing with little BOYS!! Trust me you'll be much more happier!

Have you taken him to court for child support, or is this voluntary. You can mention that he gets his daughter, but there is no law that he has to get her, just provide for her financially.

Yes. Go to court immediately and get an order to establish your rights, and compel him to pay if necessary.
