Sin is Sin. If i we're in the military and I told someone that I struggled with homosexual tendencies or lust as a Christian this could get me in trouble??? I mean I can confess whatever i have with Christ or other believers but not the military.I have known many military people and they are far from being good moral Christians.

I just find people mostly non-Christians unbelievable....like I said I find many military people with very loose morals...actually evil...but yet .....if any person suspected me having homosexual tendencies I would be treated like crap....I'm sorry......I gave my life to Christ....I know homosexuality is wrong....but the military does not i repeat go after fornicators/divorcees/adulters...but again Christ and the military are entirely two different things...

Psst... technically fornication is against the UCMJ, but is rarely ever enforced anymore.
Adultery, under the UCMJ, is a crime and you can guaruntee that anyone under my watch will go to courts martial for it. ESPECIALLY if the other party is also a military spouse.
Homosexuals ARE allowed in the military. They aren't allowed to talk about sexual tendencies at work. That's fine, i don't let my straight troops talk about sex at work either. Sexuality distracts from the mission and is prejudicial to good order and discipline. that's the bottom line. It's don't ask, don't tell. The policy (in theory and in my office) applies to BOTH sides of the issue. I don't want to know who anyone is sleeping with.

The United States Military falls under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). It does not fall under the Christian or any other Bible. Religion is not regulated in the US Military, you can believe what you want to. You cannot promote any religion to any other Military Member. You are obviously a civilian who has never been in the Military and have only talked to a few Military Personnel. This is not your problem. The laws that exist in the UCMJ cover all the laws the entire Military must and does follow. Anyone who violates the code of the UCMJ can go to Federal Prison. I suggest you Google the UCMJ. Then I would suggest you go to the nearest Military establishment and see the Judge Advocate General Office and speak to them about your concerns with regards to sin.

Humm. The Milatary does not encourage or "condone" sin. They are strictly against sex before marriage, and against adultery, and against most bad conduct "unbecoming" of those who wear the uniform. Sadly, most people have trouble with judicial actions being carried to the exact letter in this arena, wives cover for bad men, and vice versa to stay in and get money and benefits. Sex before marriage is ....hard to prove without evidence (as in a reported case of abuse, hard evidence of the actual physical act) of some kind like pictures of the act etc., Since we are made to follow UCMJ and the code of conduct follows christian formal patriarchial systems then yes, don't ask don't tell applie and you confessing means it bothers people. Happens. Sorry.

Those things are not condoned. I'm sure that the army teaches respect and honor yadda yadda, but that's not what rules the behavior. In any all-male environment, what will rule is groupthink, which lowers the moral thermometor while remaing harshly homophobic.
I don't really know, I have friends in the army who claim it is strict (as we all know) and supports a good moral system.

I don't think "sin" is the issue at all. Most soldiers don't care if their fellow service-members sin, or even believe in sin. The issue is "homophobia" distracts from the mission. A soldier can't operate at 100 percent if he's worried about the guy in the foxhole with him checking out his junk.

The military does not codone adultery.
It accepts fornication because fornication is a natural act of consenting adults.
