I'm a SAHM with my toddler son, and was thinking about doing some in-home childcare. My mom did that when I was younger, and the girl she watched was a month younger than my sister. They were both infants at the time, and now at 14, almost 15, they're still friends even though they go to different schools.

I was wondering what, if any, laws there are about that. I know there are all sorts of laws governing daycares, but what about having just 1 or 2 children at my home?

I know in Washington state you can watch kids from one family, kids for your own family or just one without a license. You should at least have renter's or home owner's insurance, though.
