I have been referred to a new Doc for my depression and anxiety and I don't want to go. I am terrified of meeting the new Doc. Any ideas on how I can calm down?

feel lucky that you are getting help because depression and anxiety just gets worse as time goes on, think if the positives that you will feel better once you get help. would you rather be depressed or happy?the obvious choice is happy so the doctor will help you help, just breath!

Just go to the appointment and see what options the doc has available for you if not try other methods for dealing with depression and anxiety.

Would you rather have the depression and anxiety? The anxiety is what is upsetting you about the Dr. You are very smart to get help. You will feel much better after the appointment and are on your way to feeling better.

I've been to alot of doctor's for my bi-polar disorder. Some I liked. Some I didn't. I was always nervous the first couple of times I saw a new doctor.

Remember-you must feel comfortable with this doctor. If after you have seen him or her a couple of times and still don't feel comfortable, find a new doctor.

In the mean time-relax. Doctors are only human. Remember you are paying him (or her).

It also helps to have your past history (doctors, medications, etc.) and any questions or concerns you may have written down so you don't forget anything.

The best of luck to you!
