I met my Third wife. 01/26/1996
She is truly the driving force behind me.
I love her deeply and would actually give my life in defense of her
You are suffering from Depression see your Doctor, tell him/her your symtoms and get help. Sadness caused by things in your life can be relieved. Take a walk down town and check out the people who are homeless, or hooked on drugs, that are in jail.
Remember that there is always someone worse off than you are.

I Love you too! The day my life changed is when I met my beautiful wife. I had been playing basketball with some friends and we decided to go to the Dairy Queen. While there, I asked one of the married ladies working there (that I knew) what she was doing Saturday evening? She introduced me to another employee that I spoke with and asked out to a movie that Saturday evening. I realized after I left there that I already had a date on Saturday afternoon. I had taken the other young lady to the skating rink. So I dropped her off at her home, went home and showered, then picked up my second date. The worst part of it was the fact that we met several of the other date's friends at the movies and I paid for that the rest of the school year. They were all in my classes throughout the day. I took my second date to the prom the next two years and married her 32 years ago. We have three beautiful children, a grandson, a daughter in law, a son in law, another grandchild "on the way", and a life that I have cherished. GOD has graced me with everything that I could ever ask for in this life. I was an instructor of mathematics for almost 30 years and I am totally disabled as a result of childhood diabetes. My wife and I became Christians about twenty years ago and we would never want to be without HIS LOVE. Have a wonderful evening and a glorious week. GOD LOVES YOU and I do too!!
Thanks,
Eds

The First time my life changed was when I joined the U.S. Navy. A whole new way of life and one was expected to acclimate in a hurry. In order to ease the nervousness and tension, there were people assigned to scream loudly into ones face. They were close enough so that one could smell the breath and feel the spit. One learned by example. Some poor soul called his rifle or piece a "gun". Said soul was corrected gently by a maniac who had the equivalent of a nervous breakdown in the process. There was much swearing and threats of physical violence. We went everywhere at something between a fast march and a dead run. At every stop we collected more and more gear for which we were responsible. That night I was allowed the rare privilege of standing watch on the Dempsey Dumpster, a huge stinking garbage can. It was snowing. Later I was allowed, as were others, to get into my rack for some shuteye. Our rifles accompanied us just in case "some of us might miss our mommies". I was barely seventeen years old. A number of years later, I met and married my wife. My life changed for a second time. We have been together for 41 or so years now. Best thing that ever happened to me. She has me domesticated enough now that she can take me out in public.
I hope you will feel better. If it persists, seek medical advice. There are things that can be done to alleviate the situation. Check 'em out.

I was travelling down south to visit relatives. It was a 2 hour drive and it was just me and the open road. While I was driving, you can't help but look around and see the power of the Lord. Vast fields, the clouds racing above. The picturesque background was an amazing sight and by this time I had already opened my heart, but never took the time to really consider the power of the Lord and his creation; I got so amped that I felt my body almost float out of my seat. I kid you not, I got goosebumps all over my body and I literally felt my body rise up out of my seat. I soon realized the Lord entered my heart that day, and it was the greatest day of my life.

The day my life changed is when I realized that even though we may go through very painful circumstances at some point in our lives, if we hang on long enough, we'll eventually see that it was best at the time for things to have gone the way they went. That's the same day I realized that if I delight myself in the Lord He will give me the desires of my heart, which He has done and is doing all the time. My best to you sweetheart, you are too young for this kind of pain.

The day my life changed is when I:

Became a believer in Christ.
Made different choices for my life.
Had my baby.
Went back to school for Master's degree, number one and number two!
Saw the island of Iona in Scotland for the first time.

So many things, large and small that make life meaningful.
I'm sure you have your own things to fill in the blank, but right now, because you are feeling so sad, they are hard for you to remember.

I am very concerned about your depression and the fact that you "are starting to give up hope" and "sinking more and more everyday."

Hold on!

I hope you will see a doctor as soon as possible, because you may be clinically depressed, and if you are, there are medications that WILL make you feel better, and be your old self again.

No one should have to suffer as you are. Please--will you call a doctor tomorrow? There is an end to the sadness!

You will be in my thoughts. .

When an old elementary school teacher of mine died...

It's a fairly long story, but the idea was that I didn't realize what a golden year it was with her until it was too late to thank her. So I'm determined to seize the day.

I almost died from an overdose on robitussin. I actually should be dead (seeing as i took enough to kill me (accidentally)) but conquered death by pure will. I almost died many many many many times that night. I fought hard to stay alive that night. I fought for months to keep my sanity. If you wanna know how scary and hellish it was send me an e-mail. You'll appreciate your life a lot more knowing how bad that trip was.

If you want to be happy choose to be happy. This is your reality make it what you will. You have complete control.

edit: I don't suggest pills they can make things worse. You must find the path that is right for you.
