Ever read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley? He made these same predictions 80 years ago.
Here's the thing...
American's (as well as many other nations) already know what freedom tastes like. There is an old saying... once you give something, it's very difficult to take it away.
The hypothetical globalization described here is dependent on two main things - consumption and control. In order for these hypothetical bankers and power elite to maintain their power, they must have a constant influx of capital. They can only ensure this by controlling the masses, continuously satisfying their desires, thus ensuring they keep consuming (spending.)
In Brave New World, the various social castes were conditioned in the lab to consume, and their needs were all provided for through technology.
On planet Earth, we still live in a society of lack. We haven't even discovered a way yet to supply every person with potable water and food. You can not control people if you can not satisfy their basic needs. They will revolt. In developed nations we've gotten close. Madison Avenue has conditioned people to consume massive amounts of electronics and technology, but there is already a rebound effect occurring where people are starting to reject this constant encouragement to consume.
Gadgets alone are not enough to satisfy the basic human spirit. Something within people always rises up and demands that they be allowed to explore the limits of their humanity. (Most) humans cannot be herded. In Brave New World, this independent behavior was scientifically engineered out of all but a small elite cast (the Alphas), but the V Chip is a far, far cry from this.
I predict at some point businesses, through practical necessity, will unify the commercial aspect of society. Credit cards have already become the universal currency. Since we are all human beings, a single world government makes sense, so long as it is a DEMOCRATIC government.
The beauty of the "great experiment", (the United States), is that the citizens ALWAYS have the ability to take control of the government via the vote. The founding fathers were very smart in this regard. I don't think you'll see the Constitution put asunder anytime soon. Americans can be indifferent, jaded, and lazy, but they get very testy when you start messing around with the big "C".

Yes, I've read Revelation...and I watched the video. I'm not convinced about the validity of this particular conspiracy theory but the way I see it, the end times described in Revelation are inevitable AND they will occur in God's time. Is that time now?...???? Are we closer now than we were in the past? Certainly...
...v-chips are a fact...they've been lojacking dogs for decades and they tracking people with small GPS devices in cell phones...combining the two is a technological reality that offers, for the first time in history, the opportunity to track and monitor the actions of people...a basic requirement to achieve control.
...people are already dependent on government-controlled money. Many of the other items that can and have served as an alternate medium of exchange are controlled by the government (e.g., they control the exchange of gold and other precious metals, information, technology, and more). Among those with the most money, they are also dependent on electronic transactions of this money...debit and credit cards, money stored electronically instead of physically in banks). Tie the technology for control to the money supply and the government's ability to control people by granting or limiting access to electronic exchange systems marches ever closer.
...people are increasingly dependent on the government and increasingly willing to let the government take care of their problems for them. Less than 100 years ago, the educational system in this country (and most others) was largely controlled by parents...they recruited and hired teachers out of their own pocket and supervised the actions of the teacher...now we hand that responsibility over to the government and feel like we are still in control because they let us have PTA meetings! An ever increasing number of countries are disarming their populations because the media has whipped people into a state of constant fear that it is safer for them to make guns illegal...forgetting that they have effectively given away their ability to defend themselves against the government should it suddenly turn on them.
Could it happen the way it's described in that video...perhaps...or this attempt could fail like all the others before it only to return with a better plan in 30 or 50 or 100 or even more years. The way I see it, it's going to happen when it is time and not a moment before...and when God decides that it is time, nothing I or anyone else could do could possibly stop it. I say, "thy will be done Lord"!

I have often been amused by certain aspects of Revelations. See, on one hand, it all makes sense that now is the end of the world, woo...
But, on the other hand, if you think about it, what would a major prediction be in a time where war was rampant, and people did as they chose? The few people in power attempting to unify the world under their power (pretty standard goal of power hungry, and those intelligent enough to accomplish it also would know sharing power isn't so bad), and to find a way to keep track of all people.
Frankly, prophesies that come true are generally designed to be accurate in a weatherman type of way.
Personally, I think it would be a good thing to have a one world government and identification implants. After all, I constantly lose my wallet :)

You really want my opinion?
It's probably the most insane book of the Bible. There's some weird stuff in the Old Testament, but most of the New Testament seems pretty much down-to-Earth. I vaguely recall that early Protestants like Calvin and Luther even wondered if it should be included in the biblical canon.

The Book of Revelation is proof that God does indeed have a sense of humor.

Wow! They are so presumptuous! I think I shall give time to focus on this in my prayers. This one thing I am sure of. If they intend to work on counteracting humanity's destiny, they must seriously reflect that nobody can go against God's plan for His children. What they will do will backfire on them.

Yes it does have tones of Revelations.
More proof the bible is true ?
You know it is nothing to be scared of .Now is the time to study what the bible has to say , bad things are coming but to be forewarned and know god will bring about something better is comforting.
The truth will set you free.
