These are just little weird things that I ponder from time to time.
If they didn't use these minerals, Would the water taste, "Yucky"?

Maybe I shouldn't read books by George Carlin.

I got used to drinking bottled water after Hurricane Katrina. We now live in Houston, and I haven't gotten used to the water, yet. Even though we have a filter system on our water. I still fall back on my bottled water from time to time.
I just happened to be reading the bottled water label and thought this might make an interesting question.

I don't know which minerals they use, but they are perfectly harmless. One bottled water, I believe AquaFina, uses none, and when you drink it you'll notice the difference: it is absolutely tasteless. If you thought water was tasteless before, think again.

You see, some water sources are where the water flows over rocks and the minerals naturally gradually break off into the water, giving it its taste. Other bottlers add their own blend of natural minerals to achieve a fresh-from-the-source taste that some people are accustomed to. I would venture to say that most of us don't realize that the mineral taste is there until it is totally removed...then something tastes wrong.

Down to the use of bottled water! I can understand if a city had sewage backup problems and it ruined the water supply, But just for convinience and laziness to find a fountain to drink from is a waste of materials! I drink tap. I think green!

haven't you heard of mineral water, or fountains of youth?
Those things have minerals in them.

It's good for you.

The minerals are things like cadmium, mercury, lead, arsenic, and other heavy metals.

Enjoy.
