Hi, you are doing the best thing you can for her and that is to be a friend. You cannot make decisions for her...just listen to her. Yes, I will pray for Jenny....that God will protect her and help her to be healthy. You take care and God bless you both.

Jenny should go see a doctor first of all. It is definitely priority one. The doctor will try to give her a high carb diet and with plenty of protein to boost her energy and the means to contain it and the energy needed for her. The energy from the carbs should provide some warmth . The protein will provide her strength and when she exercises she will be mire awake and alert. My prayers are with Jenny but she must now do her part and participate so the program works and she is on her way to better health and well-being.

Hey Megan,

Yeah. It's hard when people you know are anorexic. I met a girl at camp, her name is Kristen. Tell Jenny that she needs to eat. Give her a diet that consist of lots of fruits and vegies. Ask her what she likes and stuff. Hey i have to go but i'll pray for her.

Hey!

That's a serious situation. I think you should tell your friend that if she feels uncomfortable about her weight, ask her why. Talk about it with her. Ask her if she wants to look like an ugly skeleton that people look down upon, and if she wants to torture herself for absolutely no reason, she should go ahead and keep doing what she is doing. But if she began eating healthy foods she enjoys, such as a delicious turkey dinner, macaroni and cheese, sandwiches, salad, and even pizza and ice cream, she would gain weight, feel good and look good, and have people respect her again. It's either a "loose-loose" scenario or a "win-win". It's her choice.

Good Luck to you and your friend!

anorexia is a real medical problem. if she does really have it, she should go see a doctor (probably psych doc).

but failing that, i imagine she feels tired and weak all the time because she is malnourished and dehydrated. if she doesn't eat, it really doesn't matter what type of diet you recommend, she probably won't eat enough. she'll need more protein rich diet and can probably use daily dose of multivitamin as well.
