He would open his mouth to expound poetically......and then his wooden teeth would fall out. Oh well.

What makes you think that Washington would have said anything? Most of the white folk and blacks were immigrants. The only native Americans were the indians. Americans treat " legal immigrants" quite well. It is the illegals who have flooded the country ,sixty percent of whom are unemployed who are cause for concern. What policy do you advocate, Brown nProudofit ?

He would point out that in Article 1, Section 8, of the US Constitution (which he signed), that the Congress has the power "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization".
We have the rules, now we're just asking people to follow them.

Remember, Washington was a slave holder. He lived in a time when only white European males were considered worthy of living as a free people in the new nation.
I personally don't like when people try to put words into the mouths of the dead. We don't know how he would feel about anything happening in the nation today.

He would want us to obey the rule of law - we would have less of a problem with ILLEGAL immigrants under a Washington administration. He's turning over in his grave now seeing how the liberal hacks are distorting the Constitution

He would probably say, Welcome to America". Come on in, make yourself useful and help us out.
America was made by immigrants. People that came from other countries and worked hard and contributed. That is still happening today.
Are you talking about illegal aliens who come here to sponge off our system or legitimate immigrants?

You don't know anything about Washington. He was a Christian.
"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber." - John 10:1

He agreed to a Constitution that counted blacks as three quarters of a person and said they weren't citizens.
And no citizenship for Natives at all.
I think you aren't a historian.
