Mechanically, if it gets stuck in your throat.

Electrically it can not harm you since its voltage is under 24V and it is considered harmless low voltage.

Chemically it would not be a great meal but probably is survivable (if you are talking rectangular D-Cell dry batter which has no liquid acid).

Yes you most certainly CAN!!!

The most obvious being if you ingested the contents of the battery.

However placed in certain devices, say like a taser, the voltage in increased inside of a capacitor inside of the taser which can go up to hundreds of thousands of volts from just a 9 volt battery!

you cant die from licking a nine volt battery or anything like that but you still wouldn't touch the battery acid if possible

No, since the body's resistance (I heard) is around 500k to 1000kOhms. That's going to be a very very small current. If you connect a whole bunch of nine-volt batteries in series... then... yes...

You can't die from being electrocuted by it. It does not have enough amperage to kill you.
