Cairns Palm Cove or Trinity Beach car hire?

I want to hire a car for 10 days when i visit cairns next year. What is the best way to do it. Wait till i arrive or book it through the travel agent

The hire company at Trinity Beach is really expensive, but really depends on where you are staying and what you are doing, have you already booked to go out on the Great Barrier Reef cruise etc... as most will do pickups from the beaches.
Then again if you want to guarantee a car being held for you and you have the great option of researching prices and the best deals on the net before you arrive in Cairns, I would book in advance.
