... Man was given DOMINION OVER the earth.
Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Gen. 9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth. 2 All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you with fear and terror. I have placed them in your power. 3 I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables. 4 But you must never eat any meat that still has the lifeblood in it.
Isa 45:18 For the LORD is God,
and he created the heavens and earth
and put everything in place.
He made the world to be lived in,
not to be a place of empty chaos.
“I am the LORD,” he says,
“and there is no other.

Revelation 11:18 the end of the verse.
You need to read the whole passage to know what it means.
Reference to those who are not being saved.
Gill says this about the verse
And shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth; or "corrupt it"; meaning antichrist and his followers; who destroy the bodies, souls, and estates of men, and not only the inhabitants of the earth, but even the earth itself; for through that laziness and idleness which they spread wherever they come, a fruitful country is turned into barrenness; who corrupt the minds of men with false doctrine, idolatry, and superstition, and the bodies of women and men with all uncleanness and filthiness, with fornication, sodomy, &c. Re 19:2; and are the cause of their own destruction, and the destruction of others; which, upon the blowing of the seventh trumpet, will come swiftly and irrecoverably. Now will Babylon sink as a millstone into the sea, never to be seen more; both the western and eastern antichrists are intended; the former is called the son of perdition, because of his destroying others, and going into perdition himself; and the latter is called "Abaddon" and "Apollyon", which both signify a destroyer, 2Th 1:4.
hope this helps

Nope. Not there.
The Bible talks about destroying those that hurt other people. Jesus said that offenses will come, but woe to them by whom the offense comes. He went on to say that if someone hurts one of His little children, it would be better off for him to tie a millstone around his neck and toss it into the sea!
In other words, it's PEOPLE that God is concerned over.
Of course, the Bible DOES say that all of creation groans under the weight of mankind's sin, and looks forward to the redemption when God makes all things new, but that's not the same thing. What your uncle is doing is stretching a point that's not even a point in the first place.

It's not related to people who drive cars. If man repented and humbled himself before God, pollution would be of little effect. God is bigger than that. But, we know the prophecy and that will not happen so man will pay the price for his sin in many ways...including the effects of pollution. It's all related to the sin of man.
Rev. 11:18
The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Revelations 11:18 "....and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth." This is telling of the time when God will pour out His wrath on the governments of the world. Resurrect the dead and reward those faithful but ruin those who have ruined the earth not just pollution wise but morally and spiritually.

um... I don't believe there are any direct statements. I could be wrong. However, one could draw a biblical principal of ecological stewardship from scripture. For example the laws concerning jubilee years for fields and so forth.

This planet is the only one we have. To harm it would be wasting the creation that God has given us.
