There is no PS2 model that reads foreign games.
Get Swap Magic or HD Advance.

The best legit way is to get PS2 marked NTSC J (sticker on the back). If not - install modchip into yours, but that's not legal and burned discs will wear off the lens MUCH faster.

buy a japanese PS2. unless theres a PS2 modchip out.
