I break the law often, i like my freedoms.
My sprituality really isnt effected by my law breaking.
Id say its a sign of the times, because law changes and so dose culteral amoreas...my spelling isnt even comming up in the checker here..
I am smiling, tomorrow is halloween.

there is more than one kind of law.
there is a law biblical AND judicial: not to kill.
and yet somewhere there is a war EVERYday (even before we were involved due to 9/11)
and in the bible opposing tribes fought all the time.
some judicial laws are so old... who could possibly KNOW them all.
IE: there is or use to be a law about spitting on the sidewalk. or being outside w/o a certain amount of money in your pocket ... or not having some sort of VALID id on you.
this are indeed minor.
that people break them as a sign of our time is not quite fair to say.
then there are the legal & moral ones like:
adultry. there are folks that part & go their separate way and are NOT yet divorced and... continue on with there romantic lives.
they 'consider' themselves 'free to commit' to another person. they are not. how many people date someone whose 'relationship is over' and has been over for mths or even YEARS w/o thought that this person is STILL married in the eyes of God & the Law?
it generally NOT until the idea of a new marriage does the old marriage even become an issue. (sometimes.

EVERYONE on this planet breaks laws each day whether they be spiritual laws or the moral laws of society. Nobody is perfect except God. The rest of us are all sinners. When you stop and really think about it, it can seem very overwhelming.
However, God loves us no matter what we do or what we have done. He died for us so that we may live with Him one day. Your question about is this our spirituality or a sign of the times. I believe it is both. As time goes by the world and it's people have become more and more lawless. Society is de-sensitized to what is wrong and seems to be worried mostly about getting ahead of each other. We should treat other people the way we would want them to treat us. Most don't. Yes, we all break 'a' law or laws each and everyday. It can be against God, against society and it's rules (ie governments), against ourselves and directly against others. Yes, we all break a law or laws each day.

People have been breaking laws since somebody first sat down and decided to write out a list of things that they determined other people could and could not do. What does that have to do with spirituality, unless you're drawing a connection between spirituality and obedience?
I've broken several laws last week, and I don't feel the least bit bad about it, because they were all laws governing consentual activities that nobody but myself has any business concerning themselves with.

The only laws I broken are just getting 2 violations on Yahoo! Q&A. But that's because I wasn't being nice and gave unkind answers to 2 questions. Other than that I've been a good and law-abiding citizen.

I believe it isn't a measure of one's spirituality. Most of us speed, I do. Most of us have made an illegal u-turn, I have. I also have tint on my front windows which I know is illegal. The tint on front windows makes it more safe for a single woman to drive alone and should be legal. The other two are meant to keep all of us safe, so I can see the importance of these.

Try driving the posted freeway speeds in California and you are closer to being considered suicidal then being a law breaker. That does not mean you are not spiritual-just staying alive to bear witness to others.

I have. It's not a sign of the times, or a measure of my spirituality. It's because some laws are just plain... well... stupid.

Does a traffic infraction count? If so, I missed a stop sign and another motorist honked at me. It was unintentional, how-ever, because I was looking for an address, and got distracted. Even so, something like that really makes you feel dumb, and could have caused a bad accident.
