I work at a job that pays me $85k+ and I hate it. I've always wanted to do a myriad of other things, but fall into the "get the paycheck" rut that I'm stuck in. I'm 40 this year and want to break out and do something else. I just feel I'm not looking the in the right directions...help.

Save up enough to have a cushion and then do what you really want to. Life is too short to not enjoy what you do every day. I totally changed careers and now am my own boss and love it. Paychecks started out a little lower but now making more than I was at the job I hated.
