I was wondering about this and not sure if anyone knows or have thought about it. But looking at the sun or (light) is supposedly make your irises of your eyeball smaller like the circle part of your eyeball of the colored part I did not mean your eyes getting smaller like a asian...lol. But it could the sun permanently, temporarily change your eye iris size? Because I am always looking at the sun and know it is bad for my eyesight but I am more worried about the looks about my eyes(yes laugh at me). I do not want my irises getting smaller and if you know if there are any ways or suggestions to make them bigger that would be great.
I think big irises are sometimes called people with beatle eyes. So does the sun really affect your iris of your eyeball is my question...THANKS please respond!

Your eyes may suffer some damage the longer you view it....

The sun or any bright light can make the pupils contract and look smaller, but have no effect on the irises. However, the sun can be dangerous to your eyes, and if you are older, can contribute to the development of cataracts. I would definitely tell you not to look directly at the sun, and to wear sunglasses with UV protection, unless of course, you want to eventually risk going blind. Looking directly at the sun is a foolish thing to do, especially for the sake of vanity. There is nothing that can change the size of your irises. You should be more concerned about protecting your vision than how your eyes look. The sun can permanently damage your eyesight if you continue this foolhardy thing.

Looking into the sun makes the little black circular part of your (the center circle) eye smaller. And when you're in the dark it makes the center circle larger. You said you do not want your irises getting smaller. What's up with you? Why don't you want to be just normal?

I know that bright light makes your pupils contract - the small black part in the center of your eye. This could perhaps make the iris look bigger. But as far as making your iris bigger, as in covering up the white of your eye, I don't know of anything that could make that happen. And yes, it is very bad to keep looking at the sun - you could burn your retina, the inside part of your eye that actually gives you sight. Without that, you can't see at all.

i don't know about making your eyes smaller but i do know that it'll make your world around you darker. STOP LOOKING AT THE SUN!!! the sun emits radiation and when you expose your eyes directly to it you are burning your retinas. in fact, it's good to always wear protective eye wear with UV-A and UV-B protection.

this is really easy..... first put on other makeup besides eye makeup this will not only draw less attention to your eyes it will make you look better overall\ to make ur eyes appear smaller you can draw a thinish line above your top lashes starting from you inner eye to a little past the end of your eye do the same on the bottom DO NOT USE EYESHADOW because it will make ur eye look huge

Looking at the sun can burn a hole in your retina the same way that holding a magnifying glass over paper and focusing sunlight on it can start a fire.

Then you'll be revved up like a douche!

If you keep looking at the sun, you will go blind. You will go blind long before it causes any permanant change to your eye's external appearance. Looking at the sun will only hurt you, it will not improve or damage how your eye looks.

I would stop looking at the sun if I were you, you may damage your pupils permanently.

as others have said, bright lights cause temporary pupil constriction (black part smaller). but staring at the sun causes solar maculopathy..it &WILL* permanently blind you. so you need to stop
