There was a test, I had to put my hands on two metal plates, the flowing current was displayed in Microamperes.
I scored 15, my friend was more than 50.
How does it work, and is there some meaningful information in that anyway?

Think of it as a "Sweat-O-Meter." When your hands get sweaty their resistance goes lower and, for the same voltage difference between the plates, they pass more microamps. I think your friend was sweating like a pig.
