I know you have no clue at all about what a theory is. I also know just how fragile and brittle your faith is. If you allowed yourself even one question with an honest answer instead of simply retreating from it in terrified denial your whole precious faith would tumble and fall.
You are like the first of the three little pigs who built his house out of straw.
Beware, for reality is indeed a strong wind, much more than the mere huffing and puffing of an asthmatically panting fictional wolf.
PS If you were a real Church historian you would know the the "Big Bang Theory" was proposed by Christian believers as a way to allow God to have a place to do "Creation Magic." The competing and established theory of the time was the "Steady State Theory" which said the universe had always existed, pretty much as it appeared and that Creation never happened.
Please choose reality.
You are making the human species look bad.

No, we see the facts and the evidence. We looked at fossils of the human body thousands of years ago and compared them to today's human. We observed the movements of the planets and came up with the Big Bang.
Do you honestly think believing in gravity takes faith? I mean, come on, it's just a theory, right? In reality, believing in gravity takes logic. You drop something, it falls. You can't 'see' gravity, but it's there, and it's supported by facts.
In the words of Mark Twain, "faith is believing in something you know ain't true". Faith means blindly accepting information that's been regurgitated from the churches for years, and ignoring or adapting to the holes that are poked into it.
The Big Bang? You can't poke any holes in that theory at all if you're not religious. I'm open to other ideas (non-religious ones, mind you) about how the universe developed because, as you said, I didn't see the Big Bang. However, the Big Bang is the best explanation for the movement of the planets and the expansion of the universe so far.

Evolutionist? One does not need to believe in the big bang theory to be an Atheist. One does not even have to believe in evolution. You obviously don't know the definition of the word theory as it is used in a scientific context and to have blind faith in many of those Bible stories goes beyond radical and into the realm of ludicrous. Only an insecure person would arrive at such an erroneous conclusion based on distorted observations.

Because we CAN see the past, we know that evolution is true and that the Big Bang happened. Did you know that the very light that you see coming from the stars is millions and in some cases billions of years old. The star itself may not even exist any more. It's like looking back into time. It's so sad that people with no understanding of science at all can still exist in this world.

"An Evolutionist cannot see the past, and cannot prove the Big Bang. It is just a theory. "
Fortunately Evolution and Cosmology are two independent fields that have NOTHING to do with each other.
Maybe you should redirect your question to Astronomers instead.
I work in the astronomy field, and point-in-fact we CAN see that past. Light that arrives at earth from distinct galaxies is literally a snapshot of the galaxy millions of years ago. The farther into space you look, you are actually seeing the universe as it was billions of years ago.
This is astronomy 101. Consider educating yourself rather than assuming your own ignorance is proof that others are incorrect.
Ps. If you want to see proof for the big-bang check out the discoveries made by the COBE and Spitzer space telescopes.

With no logical explanation about how your god came to be and no proof, aren't Christians shown as insane?
"An Evolutionist cannot see the past, and cannot prove the Big Bang."
Are fossils part of the past? Can we not see them?

NO! What is with people thinking that? Just because we don't know everything, doesn't mean the next logical alternative is belief! Some incredibly dodgy theory where people don't know it either?! I don't need to know everything!
BTW Atheists are not Evolutionists and neither are some sort of religious belief system.

Oh...there is ample evidence the Big Bang happened. We may not have the mechanism down yet. Well at least the new ideas aren't sufficiently tested. But that doesn't equal a lack of evidence for it happening.
And even if we had no idea that doesn't provide any evidence whatsoever that some invisible magic man did it. That is nothing more than making up an answer.

Science may not have the answers to everything yet.....but at least scientists are looking and researching. Those who stick to biblical fairytales aren't even trying to find any truths about the univers. They just go along la-de-dah and believe anything their religion tells them.
Anything they find out makes more sense than some fairytale with a mythical being somewhere that snaps everything into existence. Some giagantic "ruler" with the complete control of life, death, and the entire universe.

Most atheist aren't atheists because of the big bang or even evolution. There is just no evidence of god plan and simple. There is no faith.
As far as insecure, the religious community has a monopoly on it. Look at Mother Teressa, she said she never felt god, and questioned her faith constantly.
