Mom never really spoke much too me. But the one thing she said that I will remember to my dying day is this:
One day during a heatwave, my mother wanted us out of the house so she could clean. My brother and I protested saying "But Mom, it's like 100 degrees in the shade out there!" She calmly looked at us and opened the door saying "Then stay out of the shade."

"Son - come out of the bathroom with your hands up!!" That woman knew - KNEW - I had "Playboy" in there, even at 3 am. Eventually, I moved operations to the basement. My bedroom was too obvious. I was thirteen at the time. What can I say?

My mother is not dumb, she does not need to tell me anything hudereds of times. Ocassionally she may remind me the second time. :)
