It's the worst criminal thing I've had happened so far...but it was seriously terrifying to me. They had my house keys, address, bank account numbers, where I work...everything. I know there are way worse things...but ugh...I'm still so angry! ( and scared).

I hope you had your doors rekeyed and had your bank close your old account and open a new one. Also notify all three of the major credit bureas and advise them of what happened. They will mark your file so that if someone starts unusual activity in your name you'll be covered. Good luck.

Yes.My husband and I owned a resturaunt in our town. One day our cook used our truck to make a delivery and never came back. The police found him up next to Ohio, we lived in Tennessee. They would not let us report it stolen for several hours because we let him borrow the truck. I said I sent him on a 15 minute delivery. The Police caught him after 9 horrible days.I understand your feelings, as time passes you will put it behind you. I only carry personal items in my purse which I keep with me at all times. try telling people you work with to notice any strangers or weird goings on. Replace all credit cards and give your bank and every one else you can think of information to help you. When you are not at home leave a radio or tv on loud enough so that any one who is close to your door can hear it.

Do all the logical things, change the locks, call the bank and credit card places etc. And I have not had a car stolen, but only because I installed a KILL switch. They broke out my steering column trying to get it started and couldn't, so they didn't get it. Thank goodness. Factory ones are not as good as having your own installed and its not that expensive. Mine was $110.

That is a terrible .A word to the wise- dont ever leave important things like that in your car. Thats a crime just waiting to happen. Then that thief has everything he needs to get into and rob your house too!! There are other places to hide some necessary things you must have with you . whatever you do-dont leave things out in the open.
