In '68 Ford had a 200CI six as standard. There was also a 289, 302, 351, 390 and 427 V8 available. The V8's had optional carb systems so the horsepower would be hard to determine without knowing the size engine and what options it had.

while there were no 351's or Clevelands in 68, you could get a 200, 289, 302 and 390 big block. Windsor and FE's only. we need a engine code from the serial number to tell.
the 428 and 427 was only available in the Shelby's, oh, the 428 did become available in the 68 1 /2

what engine??? 210 for a 289. 230 for a 302. 351's were not an option in '68.

289 2 barrel: 195 HP
302 2 barrel: 210 HP
302 4 barrel: 230 HP
390: 325 HP
427: 390 HP (no documentation this engine was ever installed)
428: 335 HP (Ford kind of lied on this one, more like 400 HP)

Not sure depends on engine,I think the most powerful engine was the 302 CID.
A convertible by nature is a heavier car than the other models.
