LOL yeah, i wash them too. But i was just wondering cuz it was such a hassel. If you don't mind sharing, how do you wash it in 10 seconds? I always wash everything thoroughly so it takes me a good 5 minutes

Cooking is all about Chemistry
I like to start each meal from a clean starting point.
This is good because
1 I have total control over flavour
2 I know precisely what the ingredients will do
3 I'm not going to find the Grim Reaper paying a visit to the dinner table, A la, Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life"

Mind you a most important thing to do if hand washing your pots, pans, dishes and eating utensils is to RINSE off the soap suds before drying.
Why? Chemicals...........Doh

I wash my pots and pans between each use. I never like it when bits of food stick, and I get flies if food gets left out... It's not much of hassel for me. I wash dishes by hand (I just like it) and it only takes 10 seconds to do each pot. Then I let them airdry in the dishwasher. If it's a big party or something then I use the washer - which is even easier.

Obviously you're wanting to get food poisoning. Pots and pans need to be washed out after every use but especially after cooking chicken or eggs since deadly bacteria starts growing within seconds of reaching room temperature.

I live alone, cook less often than when I was married, and the apartment I rent doesn't have a dish washer. OF COURSE I DON'T ALWAYS WASH MY POTS AND PANS. Heck, I don't always wash the dang dishes. I been so far behind I've had to eat steak out of a coffee cup.

Of course I wash my pots and pans between uses and also my silverware, glasses and dishes. Old food would grow bacteria. This makes me wonder if a daily shower would be considered too much of a hassle too.

not washing dishes can transfer bacteria from the pot to the person eating it, especially if you cook something raw like chicken then do eggs...even if it is a hassle, it's better to be safe then get sick because of it, i know when i cook i always wash the dishes afterward

As a healthcare provider, I'm inclined to say, "You're kidding, right?" You put yourself at risk of food poisoning. Some can be deadly. Some just make you wish you was dead.

I do, it's a matter of cleanliness in my cooking regimen.

However, if I'm cooking a recipe that calls for emptying a pot of it's contents, yet retaining the drippings for flavor sake, I do not.

It's less of a hassle than having a bacterial gastrointestinal infection.
