I said that I dont know about dogs going into heat, like what it looks like, if its gonna come like womens, come fast or slow, or drips or what. Everyone knows that if they are around a male dog that hasnt been neutered that she could get pregnant. Also I wouldnt let her get pregnant and then give the dogs to a shelter. She actually was saved from being sent to a shelter so keep your rude comments to yourself.. GEEZ cant ppl just anwser the question and not give personal RUDE opinions.

Yes, it sounds like she is in heat. This means after she is out of heat you need to get her spayed. Also during heat, keep her away from any intact males. She can and will get pregnant, resulting in more dogs in shelters. Please be responsible and get her spayed ASAP!

The heat, or estrus, cycle in a b*tch lasts about 3 weeks. There will be a discharge, which may be clear, or bloody, or what has been described as murky, depending upon the dog and the point in the cycle. Her vulva will become engorged, and may appear darker in color. The middle week is the most likely time for her to be receptive to males and become pregnant, although it can happen at other points in the cycle. It sounds like your three weeks is just underway. By all means keep her confined and away from male dogs.
You can find a number of home veterinary handbooks, which will explain it in more detail. Once she is over this cycle, spaying is highly recommended. You won't have to deal with it again, and it will prevent an unexpected litter of puppies.

Yes , just starting, the drips should last about two weeks.
Then she should be receptive to a male.
Then you will see her tail almost disjoint as it pushes to the side.
Even though her tail is docked, she still will make the motions.
After she is breed, and if it takes, in a few days she will no longer allow a male to breed her.
Her hormones will tell her it is time to nest , and you can make a safe warm spot for her to call her own. Even if it a card board box and blanket behind the Sofa.We girls all like privacy for some stuff.a

Sounds like she is in heat...As soon as the heat is over, make an appointment with the vet & have her spayed...Unaltered females are messy & males from as far away as 3 miles will know she is in heat. Have her fixed to prevent an unwanted litter. Besides, she will be happier & stay healthier being spayed.

yes, she is in heat. unfortunately female dogs have a similar cycle like we women do. if you don't plan on breeding her, you may find that your local SPCA has a spay and nuter clinic that is free for pit bulls. i am a terrier lover, not a pit hater, so good luck with your dog.
