Probably stress. But it could also be due to an undiagnosed thyroid problem. Talk to your doctor and start taking vitamins.

It could be from a sudden change of diet, an unkown disorder you are not aware of yet, alopecia...which is often caused by stress. Alopecia is hair that comes out in various locations throughout the head. To treat it, cut down on stress and give yourself a scalp massage twice a day to increase circulation. This type of loss is not permanent

My first question is, are you under a lot of stress?
Second, did you change your shampoo lately? Shampooing a lot?
Third, are you eating healthy?
Try this... make sure to manage your stress levels, take deep relaxing breaths when you start feeling too stressed and get some exercise (that's what helps me de-stress), try switching to a different shampoo, and last--eat healthy. Make sure you're drinking your milk and getting calcium.
You also might be just going through something at this point because at 17, your body is still going through changes and this might be hormonal related--try to relax and talk to your doctor about it if it continues or worsens.

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Lead poisoning? Or pollutants. Stress, and drugs.
Focus on these 4 factors and if you still don't find anything. Then start praying to God for help...no, why wait! start now and you probably get a discount on the solution...lol. But really check those 4 things out first.

the question is...how much of your hair is actually falling out? Is alot coming out at one time or is it little by little? what type of hair do you have and do you take care of it like u should? Stress, diet and what you do to your hair all play a major roll in what happens to your hair.
