I do believe in magic. As a Wiccan, it is an important part of my life. I also believe in life after death. I have my own views on the subject, but I do not claim to be the authority.

People say their is no proof of magic. I disagree, but I don't argue the point. Whether others believe in magic or not is none of my concern. I have no interest in convincing others. I'm happy and secure in my own beliefs.

Just tricks and misinterpretations.

A lot of magicians are skeptics (some of them very outspoken ones because they realise how easy it is to fool people into believing in things that just don't happen).

There probably isn't any life after death, at the very least we've never seen any evidence of it that can't be explained away as hallucinations. There aren't any souls either so mediums don't actually do anything other than tell people what they want to hear (read up on cold reading if you want to know psychics work).

I love a good magic show. But in the end they are all just illusionists. If you want to show that I am wrong I would love to see it.

There is no indication at all that we continue on in any form after death. Why believe in something when there is no evidence to support it? Again, if you have some evidence here I would love to know about it. NDEs do not count.

For the speaking to the dead, see the last point. As far as I am aware all spiritualists who have been tested under controlled conditions have totally failed.

To answer this question is of little value until magic is first understood as a common phenomena. Everyone is a magician to some extent, you see it everyday, but probably don't recognize it. If you practice it, you get better at it, but you are only shifting what is possible into higher probability. If you practice it ignorantly or selfishly, you pay a price for that later. It is not something to meddle with, and as good as one may get, there are always others that are as good if not better. Taking that into account, there are many sources of information on how to do it. As for the world after death, who says you aren't already living there in now, but not conscious of it while awake, and that after death you simply wake up there?

Magic tricks can be fun to watch. There is no "real" magic. And Yes, I do believe in the world after death. I may not be around, but the world will still be here.

bending the laws of nature is not possible but I can appreciate the subtle illusions and clever tricks that make it appear so . I have a hard enough time believing in this world the way people think and act sometimes much less another one .

Magic is simply the manipulation of energy. Across the universe there are lines of energy called ley lines. Where they cross is called a nexus. Magic is manipulation of that ley line energy. It is neither good nor evil, it is what is done with it (the end result caused by the person manipulating it) that is good or evil, but the energy is neutral.

I was going to give an informed opinion until I read most of the other answers. With the exception of a few responders, i decided what's the point?

I think that magic is a comforting delusion indulged in by people who perceive themselves as powerless and are sadly in need of some sense of power.

The world will go on after my death, I'm rather sure, but without me.

Like the 1998 Merlin Movie aptly biblically portrays:
the 'real' magic is at "the end" of the biblical shew.

When ppl stop giving place to, start turning away from law,
then what's "ready to vanish": Heb 8 "shall vanish": 1Cor13.

Hmmm, the dead sea is already now rapidly "vanish"-ing.
I wonder if this is sign-ificant ppl are turning away from law.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
