This sounds more like the beginning of the realationship behavior not 2 years. Tell him how you feel and ask him if he is serious about your relationship. Depending on his answer decide what to do from there

girlfriend and friend goes hand in hand trust me the fact that he treats you like a friend is something some girls cannot some girls don't even have that. It also depends on the level of playing we are talking about i mean playfulness is endearing but immaturity is another thing all together. So it depends on you are you growing way past him if so you are on two different levels that means you might not see eye to eye on things you did when you two were on the same page.

Maybe so...if you feel like its worth trying then maybe you should tell him that although you love being his best friend that above all you are his gf. A person who he should be attracted to, the person he should treat like a princess rather than just one of his dude friends. If he can't then you shouldnt be in a relationship with him because after a while he'll stop seeing you as his gf then he'll just take u for granted like a regular friend

I don't know your exact problem, but he sounds amazing. Maybe you should take him for a half best friend and half lover. It seems like a awesome mix. If the "joking" around is mean, such as him calling you "fat, ugly" ect, and it's hurting you, maybe you should talk to him, maybe he doesn't realize it's bothering you, or if he is cold about it, then maybe yes it is a good idea to start looking for other people.

have an honest conversation with him and tell him exactly how you feel. It wouldn't be fair to dump him without giving him the chance to change what is bothering you. And really, when you think about it, best friends treat us great and only have our best interest at heart, maybe your boyfriend is a keeper.

The best kinds of relationships are close friendships. Personally, the reason i love my boyfriend so much is because he is my best friend and lover. Sounds to me like you have the perfect balance

Maybe he is just the type of person that enjoys joking around. Theres not much you can do about it, its his personality.

maybe if it's really a big problem. if it is, just tell him that you just want to be friends. but it seems like a good thing that you can be friends and in a relationship. it sounds great to me.

i dont think that you should break up with him. it is good to have some one who is your freind and also your love. me and my boyfreind have been going out as long as you and your boyfreind and we are lovers and freinds and this is by far the best relationship i have cause in the past it was only lust with other guys.
