Select a time to read it every day, preferably the same time of day. Some find it best when they first wake up, others just before bed. Perhaps your best time is at lunch, or when you first get home from work or school.
Whatever the time, make an appointment with yourself to read at that time. Soon it will become part of your daily habit.
The scriptures are food for the soul. You wouldn't go a day without eating food for your body. Likewise, you shouldn't let your soul go hungry either!

Start by finding an accountability partner; someone who will keep you on track and ask you how you've been doing. Also, set your Bible in a place where you will notice it - on your night stand is a good place, you'll see it when you go to bed and when you get up - or keep a Bible in your car or even your office. Try a daily devotional on your internet homepage, or write / type out some of your favorite verses and stick them in prominent places, anything that will remind you to go read your Bible. Routine is very important, so pick certain times of the day that work for you to read, and stick to it! Spending time with God is the most worthwhile thing you can do on this earth!!!!

I think u should start in the New Testament, since it sounds like ur new at this, with Matthew. After you read it, then go back and read from Genesis. For what to read everyday, continue from what u were reading the day before. Theres lots of good books that can help u with reading the bible everyday. If u go into a Mardel store or visit their website and just ask they can give u some really great stuff. u could also consider purchasing the One Year Bible. its a bible with a reading plan to help u read it in a year.

Pick a time of day when U know U can read the Bible. When U 1st get up or just b4 bed are good times. Than make it a habit to read a verse or chapter at that time every day. God Bless.

How much time do you spend on the computer or talking with friends? Maybe its time you reevaluated your time and gave some of it to Christ. Its hard, but push yourself. When I started geting serious about reading, I started a the book of John and read a Chapter a night. Mind you, that only lasted a month but it still helped me.

Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier and read those minutes. It will start your day out on a good note, and give you something to ponder during the day. It might only be a few scriptures, but then you will have time to really understand what GOD wanted you to know.

I say, just be careful, don't be too gullible, but most importantly, read it with a "true" open mind.
I don't think you should read it for answers, but insight on how people felt about their world at the time.
Nothing is certain. The truth is that there are no concrete truths. All truths are modern theories, ideas, nothing more, nothing less...

Talk yourself into it. Tell yourself that God has something to say to you. Aak Him to tell you something. Randomly open your Bible. Read both pages. I bet you that you will find something.
It's worth a try. It could be fun.

dont set a standard for you will fail.
try to just let it go and pray for the Holy Spirit to move you. I can assure you if you are sincere, at some point, you will just want to pick it up and read it.
