JW's use the verse below to claim that Jesus is the archangel Michael. They say because it says "with the voice of an archangel" Jesus is an angel. However it also says with the trump of God. If having the voice of an archangel makes Him an angel wouldn't having the trump of God make Him God?
1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

I know Jesus is not Michael. I just keep hoping a JW will realize it.

MF (tired of typing your whole name) - Here is a translation for the literal version of the Bible. This version translates everything word for word as close as possible. Note it says with a commanding shout of an archangels voice. It does not even say the voice is the Lord's.
1Th 4:16 Because the Lord Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding shout of an archangel's voice, and with God's trumpet. And the dead in Christ will rise again first.

There is a great verse in Hebrews which shows that Jesus is both the son of God and God. Hebrews chapter one starts out God. spoke long ago to the fathers by the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us by his son. Notice vs 8 God speaking but unto the son he says, Thy throne oh God is forever and ever and the righteous scepter is the scepter of his kingdom. Notice God called spoke to the son saying "thy throne Oh God". Can't get much clearer than that.

1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
If Jesus was not the archangel, then he wouldn't have his voice. Its pretty obvious that the archangel is Jesus by reading this verse.
He cannot be God because he has the trumpet of God because the trumpet of God is something separate from both Jesus Christ and God.. Its just a trumpet (basically commanding call).
If you believe that this voice is the archangel and not Jesus, then you're wrong because Jesus is the only one given authority to raise the dead.
Its easy to see that Jesus is Michael.
Question for Edge: What was the Sons name prior to Jesus? Because the Son wasn't called Jesus before he came to Earth. Also, I'm not talking about titles, I'm talking about names.

Then why the bible says that his voice is of the voice of archangel?
if you have the voice of a man and in your hand the purse of a woman , what are you a man or a woman?
Why te bible doesn´t says "Voice of almighty God"
1 Thessal 4:16 "because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first" NWT
if you check the greek text you will realize that your translation didn´t render the verse in a right way, go on check with someone in internet that can explain you that.

Thats not talking about his voice, or even his trump. Its saying that when he comes down the archangel will shout and God will anounce in his way, that the son of God is returning again.

It is said in scripture that the voice of the archangel is one so powerful, distinct, forceful and earnest that it cannot be ignored.
It only makes sense that the writer of this scripture would compare the voice of the Lord with that of an archangel.... although I also suspect that the archangels themselves are like to tremble in respectful loving fear at the voice of the Lord.
blessings :)

Jesus is not Michael !
Jesus has the power to forgive sins and give an eternal life, but no angels has that capacity. When Jesus was hanging on the cross He saved the person next to Him right on the spot. No angels could have that authority.
Michael is only considered to be "one of the foremost princes" ( Dan 10:13 ). That implies there are more princes like him. There is only one Christ.
