people say that i have a really good singing voice because i can reach some lows and some highs and because i have a really good vibrating tone. However, i sound bad sometimes and i strain it. Also, if i break and too high/low notes, then i break badly.

and i dont know how to breathe like a singer does (by the way i turned 13 two months ago..)

what are some ways to not strain and reach those really high notes without breaking?

If there are other tips on singing then please tell me.
Also, i cannot get a teacher so...yea

if you could also inform me on how to do some vocal tricks or really good sounding vibrations and vocalizing, please inform.

Okay I give you 10 tips to sing better:
1.) Breath from the diaphragm, not the lungs. You need to really control the air that you're expelling when you sing, and breathing from the diaphragm gives you more air to work with. To do this, breath so that your stomach goes out rather than your chest when you inhale. When you practice, try to focus on using the same amount of air for low notes and high notes. This will help erase the break between your registers and give you more steady tone.
2.) Run through scales a lot. You need to get your sense of pitch down, and you need to train your voice to reach higher and higher if you want to really hit all the notes in your range.
3.) Don't strain your voice. Practice is a good thing, but don't try to sing too high or you might damage your vocal cords. Go slow and steady and you'll sing well in no time. Keep your practice time to an hour or so a day, then move up if you feel like it. If you ever feel like your voice is straining, or if you feel soreness or pain, stop right away.
4.) Listen to criticism.
5.) Make recordings of yourself. This is the only way to hear your problems, because you can separate yourself from your voice and listen to what other people hear.
6.) . Eat and drink well. Don't do anything that'll dry out your voice and stop you from singing well. Caffeine is bad, as is anything that causes mucous buildup like dairy products (milk in particular is a very bad choice). Don't smoke or drink too much; this can really make you sing poorly.
7.) Sing for the style. If you're singing country, listen to country singers; if you're singing rock, listen to rock singers. Notice things that are the same in each style and emulate those. Be careful, to keep your voice unique, and not to simply copy another singer's voice. Make your personality come out in your music.
8.) Experiment with different sounds. Certain noises, like a really nasal note, can help you expand your range if you practice.
9.) stay positive! If you've had a few bad scales, that doesn't mean your voice is going to be bad all day. Drink some warm tea and try again. Don't get down on yourself, and don't think that your voice is bad, or it certainly will be. When you are finish in singing don't drink cold water because it is bad for your voice just drink warm water.
10.) Enjoy yourself! If you take all these tips to heart, singing could become a habit.

I hope all those 10 tips help you alot..... Or maybe why should you take a voice lesson to make it easy....

GOOD LUCK >_<

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://tr.im/2wejS

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.

Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

Singing is something that everybody can learn and improve. Of course, some are more naturally skilled than others, but even a poor voice can be overcome by dedication, practice, and more practice. Even if you're content to sing in the shower, there are some things you can do to improve your voice. This is probably the best online course to improve your singing skills https://tr.im/sUKxI
Your golden voice will be ringing out in no time!

I'm 13 too and love singing =)

Well, first of all, NEVER EVER STRAIN! You're damaging your instrument, and unlike other instruments, you can't just go to the music shop and get a new one! Take care of your voice.

It seems to me, that you are mostly worried about you vocal range, right? Well, have you ever heard of Brett Manning? He's famous for his self-proclaimed '5 Octave Range'. Well, I don't know if he really can sing 5 Octaves, and I don't even know if his lessons are good, as they're hundreds of euro (and so are his CD's). But if you go onto youtube and type in 'Brett Manning' you should be able to find a little demo thing. You may also be able to find interviews with some of his students (including Hayley Williams, from well known pop-punk band Paramore). And those interviews help too. Brett Manning makes you do these really silly exercises for your voice, but they really work!

Some of the exercises include:
-Rolling your lips.
-Ga Ga noises.
-A kind of baby crying noise.
-Sing 'Mi ma mo me' on a scale.

----------

And as for breathing, I would suggest just looking 'Breathing Exercises' up on Google. I don't know a lot about breathing, except:

- Never take a breathe in the middle of a word. (for example: To-*breathe*-night I'll lie awake, feel-*breathe*ing emp-*breathe*-ty) ....I hope that made sense =)
- Take a breathe after each sentence if possible.

That's all I know. Oh, also, if you're having trouble singing a song because you just don't have enough breathe to sing the whole sentence without gasping or missing words in order to take a breath. I usually just concentrate on my breathing. Find out where I take breaths in the song. And then sing the song again, but where I usually only take a little breathe, I take a big breathe.
(For example:
This is how I sing the song when I end up gasping for breathe:

*big breath* Woah, I never meant to brag, *little breath* but I've got him where I want him now, woah *this is where i start to run out of air and start to gasp for air and miss a few words of the song*

And then this is how i song the song once I have found where I'm making the mistake in my breathing:

*big breath* Woah, I never meant to brag, *big breath* but I've got him where I want him now, woah, it was never my intention to brag *big breath* to steal it all away from you now.)

Did you see the difference?

God, I hope that made sense!
Anyway, hope this helps.
And remember never strain your voice!
=D

Sing from your diaphram and not your throat. This takes practice.

Always warm up vocally.

It sounds strange but singing while laying down on the floor will help you sing from the diaphram.

Scales are good for warming up.

Singing loud doesn't mean singing good.

Feel, really feel what you are singing to convey the emotion behind it.

Back in the day I always used peppermint oil or a swig of extra virgin olive oil to coat my throat before singing.

As crazy as this may sound, RUN! aerobic exercises encourages lung function. If you are straining, it is partly because you can't move enough air. Volume is lung capacity, Tone is stamina. Aerobic exersize will help them both. The other thing you are battling is adolescence. Time will take care of that on it's own.
