I have been dating my current BF for 7 months now. But I can't help but feel that he doesn't really care about me, for example he knows that I am terribly allergic to smoke and have awful reactions yet he doesn't make a comitment to smoking out side or trying to quit. He actually get's offended when I ask him to not smoke around me and he tells me I need to "get used" to the smoke. It's impossible. Any suggestions?

i would take him for a nice long drive through the country, give him like 10 packs of ciggs, kick his a.s.s to the freakin country dirt, and drive away screaming "if you love your cigarettes more than me and my health, here you go!"

He doesn't seem to be very considerate if he refuses to even move a few feet away to smoke. Try talking to him again. You can't expect him to completely stop smoking though because he obviously isn't ready to. Just ask him to either go outside and smoke or walk a few feet away from you to smoke. If he continues to not listen, leave him.
I used to be allergic to cigarette smoke and it would give me a terrible migraine, sneezing, and sometimes hives- I eventually got used to the cigarette smoke and I'm fine around it now.

If he's so inconsiderate that he's smoking around you, leave him. He obviously doesn't care enough about you or your health. If he only smokes outside while you are inside, then he's making an effort. You can't make a smoker quit if they don't want to. However, not all smokers are so inconsiderate. He's not worth your time.

If he's not even willing to go outside or not smoke around you, then he cares nothing for you.
You already know the answer to this question and what you should do. Personally, I wouldn't stay with someone who doesn't even care about my health.

Why would you even start dating a guy that smokes if you are allergic to smoke , would you get a cat if you were allergic to cat's???..... Either get use to it or dump him , there are a ton of girls out there that would have no problem with his smoking he won't be alone for long.....

Leave the jerk. I can understand he might have a hard time quitting, but he could at least not smoke around you.
He just doesn't care and probably never will.

Leave him, he's got no respect for you, as long as you are with him, you've got no respect for yourself. There's plenty of guys out there that don't smoke, and even if you find one that does, chances are he'll have enough decency and respect to not disregard your health if you tell him your problem.

he doesn't care and you should just dump him. cos he loves himself only. he is insensitive, not caring and selfish. such a guy is not worth your love. don't suffer quietly under him. leave him and find your own non smoking zone. cheers.:)
