First and foremost consult a doctor preferably the one that you went to for the ACL! Second, Walking is not the best way to loose weight! I am sorry but that is a lazy way or to be PC, its for those who are not exercise conscience. A healthy diet and a good exercise plan is the best way to loose pounds. Even though it has been six years, An ACL injury is as serious as it gets, so be careful, have patience and take your time!

Walking is the best exercise for losing fat and ensure that your diet does not include any high calorie foods. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlossplan.html
