Yes, you can use fabric softener on your hair!

"Household uses for Downy Fabric Softener #2-Hair conditioning.
If you run out of your usual brand of hair conditioner, use a small dab of Downy fabric softener as a substitute. To use Downy as a hair conditioner, apply through your hair immediately after you shampoo. Work thoroughly through your hair from the root of the follicle to the tip of the follicle. To achieve the smoothest results, rinse with warm water after three minutes. Using Downy leaves your hair silky smooth and with a shiny, voluminous appearance."

"The solution to getting the hair you want could be lurking in the laundry room. It comes in a bottle labeled fabric softener. Liquid fabric softener to be precise. The fabric softener sheets wouldn’t work at all unless you soak out the fabric softener with water. The powder kind would also have to be dissolved before using. It’s easier to use the liquid brands.

Any shampoo will work with the fabric softener. The shampoo cleans the hair while the fabric softener makes it soft and easy to manage. It really works, but you have to be careful not to use very much because it will make your hair look oily."

"Untangle and condition hair

Liquid fabric softener diluted in water and applied after shampooing can untangle and condition fine, flyaway hair, as well as curly, coarse hair. Experiment with the amount of conditioner to match it to the texture of your hair, using a weaker solution for fine hair and a stronger solution for coarse, curly hair. Comb through your hair and rinse. "

Best of Luck to You!
