I have just been listening to a 1 hour long sermon by a Christian named Paul Washer. I was very impressed and sobered by his message but what i want to know is this,,,

Is he really genuine in his sermons? What criticism has he gone under.
Im asking this because he sounds too good to be true,,
(in a good way) and also because I have been dissapointed by too many false prophets etc. Well im not sure if i can call them false but most of them seem more fake than others, like Creflo A Dollar,Joyce Meyers,T.D Jakes, Joel Osteen.
The reason I say this is because all of these guys are absurdly rich. They live lavish lives and they buy the kind of clothes, jewelrry cars and houses most of their followers will bever have. How can such people preach honstly to us. And how can we as followers listen to their sermons without being distracted by the wealth and celebrity status they have.??!!!!!

If they are telling you about an unconditionally loving God they just might be real.

If they are talking about a judgmental God who would allow punishment then they are frauds.

Love and blessings Don

As far as I know, Paul Washer doesn't claim to be a prophet. He is an evangelist and a missionary though. And I would say that he is legit. There's no reason to think otherwise.

I know...I have read the scripture, they use to defend this and although I know God wants us to prosper and be in good health....ones idea of prosper,,,is not to live in mansions,,,have boats, antique cars, designer clothes,,and rings on every finger..there is something that smacks of wrong there....Give me an old fashioned preacher, who goes to the Barber for his haircut and wears the same suit, every other Sunday...

.I have heard Paul Washer on youtube once and I enjoyed the sermon...

A Prophet will be judged by the Word of God.
We need to be able to judge the Prophet's words and see if it is of God or not as there are many False Prophets..
