If someone told you they had a dream and acted on it
or
If someone told you that God told them to do something and they acted on it
Which one would YOU believe, what the dream said or what God said?

David, if you mean in the physical(burning bush, mist, ect) maybe, but the question is if He "told" them, not if you "saw" and "heard"

I feel very much the same as Don. It would depend on the person saying it. Since there are times I feel the guidance of a higher power and act on it I wouldn't automatically think someone is crazy if they said it. I just don't advertise the fact that I feel guided. It is a personal feeling.

That would depend on the credibility of the person, and what they told me.God grants to us the gift of discernment.Gifts from Him are generally given without measure IF THERE IS A NEED.

You see, I believe that the second "God told me something and I acted on it" has the minor setback of the fact that God doesn't exist.

Just my opinion.

Wouldn't the question really depend on the "someone"? I'm afraid I'd have a hard time believing either one.

I tend not to trust people who go around saying "God told me to ...to this or that..."


Didn't God tell Moses that God woudl no longer appear to men?
