what does it mean when you start seeing spots? black spots.. small little pinpoint dots,

kinda in the periferal.. like you cant see them if you try to look at them, but they're just where you can see them in the periferal.

also, what happens when you start seeing a sprial type thing.

if i look at something for a while (usually when it's hot) it starts to look like a spiral

those spots could be floaters, which are harmless and anoying, or it could be an early sign of retinal detachment. to be on the safe side go see and opthomologist (eye doctor).

These spots are called floaters. They are caused by tiny clumps of gel in your eye tissue, which causes a pinpoint dark spot.

Floaters are harmless and eye doctors are reluctant to treat them, because the treatment may cause more harm than good. Sometimes they fade away over time. Otherwise, they just annoy the person who has them.

If you see floaters, accompanied by brief flashes of light, this is also indicative of your retina becoming partially detached. In this case, you should see an eye doctor.
