It should be Deepaavali in Sanskrit(Deva Basha) and NOT Diwali,which is a Hindi corruption. Deepam= Light +.Aavali=arranged in a row or garland (Like Rathna Aavali=a garland of Precious stones)-"Festiwal of Lights"---"Tamaso maa Jyodhir Gamaya=from darkness lead me to Light.---"Happy Deepaavali to all".
