Does it make Christians uncomfortable with the idea that heaven is seriously lacking in racial balance?

Hardly any Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans, Maori, or Indians? What about Ancient Greeks or Egyptians? How about everybody who lived in America prior to 1492?

If you went to heaven in the year 1500, it would be composed entirely of Europeans?

What about the Israelites and the people between Adam and Israel, they weren't even close to existing races today.

I look at the Chinese and African (native) and Korean people at my church so it doesn't bother me http://www.alcf.net/pages/page.asp?page_id=2540

Diversity: One guest speaker looked at our Sunday morning crowd and said, "This church looks like the United Nations!" Indeed, God has brought together a rich blend of believers from many different races and ethnic groups. Our membership also includes people of all ages who represent a wide variety of denominational backgrounds, vocations, and economic levels.

As to it being composed entirely of Europeans prior to 1500, perhaps you are unaware of the Africans and Asians who became Christians soon after the church got it's start in the first century AD.

"Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled, and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. “And I say to you, that many shall come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom..."

~ Mathew 8:10-13

Heaven shall be far more varied than what we find on earth, for God has called all the races of mankind to repentance before Christ...

Also, you should know that there are many ancient Christian communities in Africa, the Middle-East, and the Orient...

Everyone will be given a real chance to believe in Christ and accept his sacrifice for you whether in this life or the next. People who would have rejected Christ in this life had they had the opportunity to believe, will do so even after they die. Likewise, people who would have accepted Christ in this life had they had the chance to believe, will do so even after they die.
