Being a Christian doesn't just mean that you try to be good and act like Christ. You have to accept in your heart that God made you and loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you. Romans 6:23," For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
When Jesus was on the cross there were two theives on either side of Him. One was challenging Him, saying that if He was truly God's Son to get them down from there. The other man told him to be quiet and asked Jesus to remember him when He was with His Father in Heaven. And Jesus replied, Surely you will be with me today in Paradise. Jesus died for our sins and He is 1/3 of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Being a Christian means praising God. He created us to praise him but he gave us the choice because He loves us. We will never be perfect on this earth but we jsut seek Him. We seek Him by reading His Word and His Word is His love letter to us. It is very simple. Just read and love Him with all your heart. Try to apply the things you learn from His word into your daily life. Whether it is being kind to someone who annoys you or just praying for someone in need.
I know I sounded like I was rambling but I wasn't. Everything is true and I hope this helps you understand. If you want to learn more about how to be a Christian all you have to do is Read the Bible.
I personally use the King James Version. A few of the above quotes may have slight inaccuracies since I did not have my Bible with me. But it is in there. (The references are correct)

Historically, a Christian is someone who believes in and follows the teachings of Christ. While it is difficult to be Christ-like, the effort allows you to truly appreciate how much you need his sacrifice to save you.

to be baptised as Christ was, we become "little-Christs"

being "Christ-like" isn't enough, Jesus said that we need to be empowered by the HOly Spirit to do his will. Therefore, a Christian is someone who has been baptised with water and the spirit.

For me, its to everyday try my best 2 be a better person and try 2 learn God's will for my life. Yes, it can be very hard. So I try to be gentle with myself when Ive done the best I can do & hard on myself when I dont try. I believe God reads our hearts and doesnt expect us 2 be perfect.

I believe it is to be Christ like. Just because you cannot reach a goal is no reason not to try. Sometimes there is reward in trying.

We can try to be Christ-like, however, we will never attain it fully. Jesus wants us to imitate Him in every aspect of our life.
