As in the instructions given by Jesus in Matthew 10:8-15:
You received without paying; give without pay. Acquire no gold nor silver nor copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, nor two tunics nor sandals nor a staff, for the laborer deserves his food. And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

no

There are new people on the boards all the time.

There are people seeking God within the town of Y!R&S.

There is a fertile land that needs to be planted.

Some of the seeds fall on the rocky side though.

The houses that are mentioned in this passage could easily be compared to some of the questioners and answerer's in the R/S section. In other words if you find someones questions or answers worthy then you might invite that person or welcome him/her into your family of friends, and you will let your peace come upon them. On the other hand if the questioner or answerer is not worthy then you let your peace return to you and do not invite that person into the family of friends and move on to the next. I honestly don't think you or anybody else is going to get Christians to leave a religion/ spirituality section without a fight.

The Religion & Spirituality group is dynamic there are probably 100s of new people a day reading the questions and answers. Anyway, this format is really not the best one to witness in because 99.99% of the people that come here come here to argue instead of learn. So, it is a great place to learn what people think and then use that info later in face-to-face "real world" encounters where a bigger impact can be made.

Cheers!

In accordance with that verse, I do not think Christians will ever be gone from here, each has there time to shine and answer ans if we leave, and are lead by God to go, then He will put someone else to take our place, and they will have there go at it. The other reason is that Christians are also on here to meet with each other and the questions they may have, that is also God's work and in using QA to edify each other, there is no time frame for that.
So i believe it to be "no"

I think the time may come but I don't believe it is here yet. I think there are those we can reach on here. They are worth the harassment.

Another thing is as the first poster said. This is good training. I know much more about JW's and mormons since I have come here. I have also had to study so I know the verses to defend my faith. When I first joined I was sadly lacking in that ability.

No, it is not time for me to leave.
Why would I? There are people who accept and respect my opinion.

I think I have a right to be here. I am a Christian. Christian is a religion.
This is a forum for RELIGION and Spirituality.

I don't try to convert anyone, nor do I preach.

I accept and respect other beliefs. I would think others would do me the same courtesy.

Are you saying you want all of us to leave R & S? Surely you don't hate us that much!
Aren't you open-minded and respectful enough to accept that some people believe differently than you do?

There are serious Christians here sure there are a few hecklers but if anything this is good practice for facing some of the kinds of arguments that will come up when witnessing with people face to face.

God will let each believer know when He doesn't need them here on Yahoo any more.
But I know what you are saying I think.
