Has this ever happened to you? Were there any RED FLAGS in the begining of the relationship.What were the warning signs that the relationship was going to become abusive.

it is always a possibility in abusive relationship that it can turn deadly. even if it is just once. there are all kind of red flags but the most important one that is the most ignored is your gut instinct. if it tells you something is not right, then it's not right. hey, boys and girls, let's keep our hands to ourselves.

No, I have not known anyone who was murdered from leaving their abusive partner, I do know someone who was in an abusive relationship, and they got out of it. Warning signs are, when they are controlling your everyday life, whether its school or work. They call you vulgar names, they actually hit you. They sexually assault you, or forcing you to do things you're uncomfortable with, and mainly they intimidate you.

Maybe I'm not qualified as I have never abused my wife of 38 years, BUT, i have friends that may have done that type of thing. Here is what i can tell you, ALL THE SIGNS ARE THEIR, when your dating....the anger, the mood swings, the possessiveness, don't tune a blind eye to it....don't make up excuses for it, RUN from it. If you are currently in a relationship that is turning abusive, RUN from it, NOW.......too many other nice people for you to hook up with in this world.......

yes-glen holiday murdered Becky for filing for divorce.killed the husband who gave her the money, a neighbor who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. husbands wife escaped and hid in closet.police were on scene and holiday went on the lamb.(Alabama 1986)
