Ok... First off I am 15. Everyone my age looks at porn, etc. And so do I.

Well to start of our 'story' my Dad was going through my computer to try and fix it, and he found all my porn sites. But he was totally cool with it! I asked him; "So...Am I in trouble for this?" he just said, "no... Why would you be..." He was cool about it and I respect that. But is that normal? I mean im 15...

Just wondering what you think of it. =)

I think he is being realistic.

I'm sure at his age he looked at porn, and he understands that boys your age *I'm assuming from your handle you are a boy if not I apologize* are interested/curious about pornography, sex, etc and do that.

Count your blessings as it seems like you have a father who remembers what it was like at your age, and is trying to make an awkward age a bit easier.

I hope when my daughter is older I too try to remember what it was like "walking a mile in her shoes" so to speak and act accordingly.

Dude, you're a 15 yr old male... it's totally normal for you to look at porn and be interested in stuff like that.. Total kudos for your dad for not being pissy about it.. some parents for some reason don't understand that. Like it's weird for their kids to be human. I really respect your dad also for knowing and realizing that. I will be the same way with my son as well.. It's a normal natural thing in my book.

Well, your father probably sees your collection as a right of passage and that you just being one of "the boys". My husband is the same way with my son (who is younger then you), when, my son "accidentally" typed naked lady in a search engine and found several websites. I think that for your own good that your dad should talk to you about respect for women and how much can be too much porn. Of course, this is coming from a mother!

you are 15 but you really shouldn't be looking at porn sites because you must be 18 to enter those kind of sites Everyone your age is curious about sex and about the female body that is common. You were lucky that your dad didn't ground out or take away the computer. I wouldn't make a habbit of it

It is normal for boys your age to start looking at magazines, websites, etc. As long as it doesn't become an obsession it is ok. The only reason we were upset with my step-son when he was looking at porn on our computer was because he was failing his classes and supposed to be doing his homework and instead looking at porn.

St. Jimmy, i think its normal to be curious about what girls look like with out clothes.
BUT you may be starting a process that you may not be able to control later down the road. You may become addicted to porn. Then you may start to see all girls and women as what you see on the sites.
I disagree with your fathers views. I see no parent guidance in this at all. Does he want to to view all women as what you see on these sites?

he just accepts that you are venturing into the real world. You are at the age, I guess when he started doing the same thing, probably not on a computer though. You sound as if you are from a good open family and should be proud you can be open with your parents.

Its normal to be curious and this is obviously how you go about solving that curiosity. As long as your not hurting anybody - nobody should really have a problem with it

Ok, yes it is normal, that is true, all kids look at pornography, I guess it is part of the growing process, curiosity to see nude bodies. The abnormal part will be if you never outgrow it.

Gross.... I wouldn't even want to think of my son looking at porn. That is probably how your computer broke. Those sites are infested with viruses and spyware. I guess as long as I didn't know I wouldn't care but if I saw it on his computer I'd have to tell him to stop it.
