Well for one not all black guys like lighter skinned women. The ones that have a preference are just assholes with no real common sense of what love or lust is beyond the physical appearance. I mean come on..every one knows that everything looks better on and with darker skinned people. Not to be rascist or anything but lighter skinned people have thinner skin so they will age faster. In the long run darker skinned black girls will be more beautiful. yes light skin went out in the 80's...sorry people but itz true.

Until a couple of years ago, I exclusively dated light skinned women, and I'm 28.

Because African American people are generally brown skinned, which is beautiful, our skin color doesn't stand out amongst ourselves. We are just different hues and shades of brown. So light skinned women & men naturally stand out to the eye.

Their skin color also gives them a different look and people like things that are different. Whether it's blue pit-bulls or white tigers or something else. It's just fact they look different.

Now most light-skinned women are mixed with a different race, probably white, from mom or dad or their grandparents. But it's somewhere in the family tree. Therefore, they generally exhibit features like finer, wavier, longer hair, thinner lips, different eye colors, smaller noses, etc; features that alot of men like, not to say they don't like the traditional features of African American women, like full lips, wide hips and big butts.

But those features create a more exotic look. It is almost like you have a white and black mixed in one, even if she isn't mixed.

I used to think that... so for a science project I surveyed a lot of black boys and I found out that out of 100 people 32 said that they dont like dark skinned girls and i ask why and they siad things like make ugly babies or they are just straight out ugly.... They're color struck. If you think about it, they just see the bright skin and are attracted. Sometimes that person isn't that pretty in the face but it's just the color that gets them. I could never figure that out.
