I saw the 6 lb parents and she is already bigger than them. She is not a purebred. She has a slight mix of pomeranian on her father's side. Both parents looked very much like chi's.

I am not so concerned about her final weight, but that I don't have to keep buying her new equipment. We are on our third crate, and are currently having to change her housebreaking routine. We were using pee pads and are now needing to change to outdoors.

At 5-6 months your puppy isn't done growing yet, but if the weight worries you, have her checked out with a veterinarian. You should not only consider the weight, but if the weight is in proportion to the hight and build of your puppy. Pomeranians are about the same size or slightly larger than most Chihuahuas, but then you have a rare case like one of our longhair chihuahuas that hit 20 lbs. He loves to eat everything in sight, so be careful with that. Just because you have a breed that is supposedly picky with food doesn't necessarily make it so. If you are not planing on showing your dog, I would not worry about your Chihuahua being in the predetermined weight bracket, as long as your dog is healthy.

Expect your chihuahua mix to be around 10-14lbs. Chi's mixed with Pomeranian will be bigger than the parents because poms are bigger in structure than Chihuahua's at standard size. Standard chihuahuas should not weigh more than 7lbs or less, and Poms should weigh 7lbs. full standard size. I would say it sounds like the mom is the pomeranian and the dad is the chihuhua since chihuahuas are too small to pass a pom size puppies.

If she is mixed she'll be a little bigger than the ones hat breed together. I love Chihuahua's I had male and female the male was skinny and the female was fat, so they just get fat or stay skinny. You better happy you got a female because the male Chihuahua's is very hard and almost impossible to housebreak and the female is a little easier but let me wish you good luck and house breaking either sex. The male will hide from you and hike that leg on any piece of furniture you have and you just can't hardly ever break them from hiking that leg and it smalls bad the older they get.

here is a chi weight chart I find very accurate on purebred chis. Teh problem witha mix and you seeing the parents is that often the size and color go back 2-3 generations. I would probably figure 7-10 pounds if not bigger.

Taking the Pomeranian into consideration, she could get up to 12 lbs. She'll most likely top off at around 9.

My guestimate is about 10 lb based on owning chis for 30+ yr and raising them for the past 9+ yr.

Maybe 10-11 lbs. Does the size really matter? It's still a small dog, and unless you are a Paris Hilton wannabe it should be fine.

I would guess she would get to about 10-11 pounds. Neither chis or poms get any bigger than that.
